IYA2009 at the Party Conferences

This party conference season, the International Year of Astronomy 2009 is represented at each of the three main party conferences in the UK, Liberal Democrats (13 - 17 September 2008), Labour (20 - 24 September 2008) and Conservative (28 September - 01 October 2008).

Manning the IYA2009 stands, with solar scopes, sunspotters and boundless enthusiasm, are members of Wessex Astronomical Society, Basingstoke Astronomical Society, Guildford Astronomical Society, the Southern Area Group of Astronomy Societies (SAGAS), Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics (Manchester University), and Birmingham Astronomical Society.
